John Paolillo better known as Johnnie P is a Celebrity choreographer, Dancer, Singer, Comedic Actor, and proud member of Actors Equity before stepping behind the camera and into the position of Choreographer, Director, Writer, and Fitness instructor.
Over the years, John has been challenged by dyslexia, ADHD, obesity, gay-bashing, thoughts of suicide, rejection, death of loved ones, vertigo with projectile vomiting leading to 90% hearing loss in one ear, systemic connective tissue disease, scleroderma and more, all of which inspired him to write the book “Something More” (Rated five stars on Amazon)and created the MEND Stretch classes and the Mending Massage Eggs This was a compassionate way to help individuals regain strength and confidence in their lives no matter their ability or what challenges they face.
MEND Stretch is a class that focuses on regaining or enhancing strength and flexibility through rolling, using the Mending Massage Egg, and stretching techniques. Mend is a balance of John’s life challenges, love for others, and humor. John was voted one of New York City’s Funniest Fitness Instructors on the Popular fitness site Rate Your Burn. John currently holds three fitness certifications from NASM and two from Melt Hand and Foot.
John’s humorous, inspirational Memoir—entitled "Something More" received an honorable mention in this year’s New York Book Festival. And as if that weren’t good enough, John’s comedy cartoon book Another New York Moment earned him First runner up at the New York book festival.
Some of John’s work on television includes LIVE with Regis and Kelly now Kelly and Mark on ABC as well as The View, Fox Morning Show, The WB 11, NBC promos, Back Stage with Johnnie P and Friends, and SPIKE TV’s Happy Holidays from the Dark Side Star Wars promo which received over 30,000 hits within 48 hours.
On Stage John’s work includes Broadway Diva Drama Desk Award winner Ms. Mary Testa at 54 Below, Broadway Bares with Tony Award winner Jerry Mitchell, BCEFA Easter Bonnet, The Village People’s World Tour, Project Lohan, Nickelodeon’s Rug Rats, The Dozen Divas Show with multi-talented Singer, Actress, and Comedian Ms. Dorothy Bishop. John has also Choreographed/Directed thirteen well-known American musicals such as Grease, Joseph, Babes in Toyland, The Boyfriend, and Fiddler to name a few.
